On sale Kingsford Stainless Steel Beer Can Chicken Roaster

Product Description

Kingsford's Beer Can Chicken Roaster is made of stainless steel. The roaster is 8-inch tall and includes a drip pan that's 7" in diameter. Roast your chicken with beer and you'll taste the incredible difference. Why roast with beer? The yeast and malt found in beer reacts with the chicken – especially the skin – making it thin and crispy while the meat remains juicy. In addition to this, adding a source of moisture to the chicken keeps it from drying out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Beer Can Roaster, June 7, 2011

This beer can chicken roaster is the best one I've used. The drip pans catch the fat drippings and juices instead of them being sacrificed to the bottom of your grill or oven and in the bargain you have basting juices and have captured the makings of a compatible gravy. Unlike most of the herd of beer can roasting devices the two vertical wire bales are removable and once removed the drip pans will nest for compact storage if you happen to use more than one as I do. For reasons of economy I normally use at least two at a time on my smoker cooker and have also used a pair them in a conventional oven (with a sheet pan underneath) to the rave reviews of my guests and family. I use half a can of a 12 oz or tall 16 oz can of beer-ginger ale-coke- etc and stuff it with a few sprigs of Rosemary,Thyme or Sage depending on the recipe. I also use a rub and the finished birds are moist with a crispy skin and everybody eats like it was Thanksgiving! Like all such devices the trick is removing the... Read more

There are probably more complex pans available, but for the price I don't think you can find a better deal. Chicken came out SUPER moist; pan caught all the drips / easy to clean. Highly recommend.

I tried it and it works as advertised. Use only a half can of beer or you will have beer where you don't want it. Baste the bird about every 15 min. after the first half hour. Don't forget the inside. The quality of the beer you use makes a difference in the taste. Cooking takes about two hours, but it's worth the wait. Used a dry rub on the outside of the bird, The flavor didn't penetrate the entire bird. Next time I'll inject the bird. The problem was the cook not the product. Even on my first try the chicken was juicy and flavorable. Clean up was easy. It is a great way to cook.
