Crafted in stoneware, the chicken roaster's construction retains heat, enabling it to continue cooking from the inside out. A conical center vertically hoists the chicken to allow the fat and juices to run off and collect in the roaster's basin, for disposal or making gravy. For pouring, a spout is molded along the rim. I used to have a smaller version that my mom send me from Germany, but it broke.The chicken comes out crispy on the outside, but nice and juicy inside.
